The majority of our international patients have chosen TRSC for the LASIK surgery  because we are refractive surgery specialists. TRSC does not provide a wide range of eye treatments as do hospitals or other private clinics. TRSC has become very skilled in this regard due to such a narrow focus. Apart from LASIK, we also provide other means of vision correction such as PRK, NV LASIK, Phakic IOL and cataract surgery.  Depending on a patient's eye measurements, some of the aforementioned vision correction options may be better suited for certain patients. The surgeon will be able to provide more information as to which procedure is right for you.

TRSC was founded in 1997 by Ekktet Chansue, M.D., Medical Director, and Wanida Chansue, Managing Director, with a determination to raise the standard of Thailand's refractive surgery to international levels. TRSC selects only the best technology, while at the same time striving to maintain and improve the level of knowledge, expertise and experience of our personnel at all levels. Dr. Ekktet Chansue was the first surgeon to perform LASIK in Thailand, and probably in Asia, in 1994. In 1989, Dr. Chansue became the first ophthalmologist from Southeast Asia to be invited to join ORBIS International, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help combat world blindness utilizing its DC-8 airplane converted to a teaching eye hospital. His special interest in cornea and refractive surgery led to the determination to give the miracles of clear vision to all inflicted with sight problems.

Wanida Chansue, M.Sc. (Hospitality Administration) was one of the first people in the world to have laser vision correction when she underwent PRK in the early 90's. She has retained 20/20 vision ever since. The miracles that she received, combined with her backgrounds as a certified nurse, were what drove Ms. Chansue to create Thailand's first-ever stand-alone surgery center devoted to the surgical correction of sight problems, with the determination to give patients not only the best available surgical and medical care in vision correction, but also first-rate service more commonly associated with five-star hotels and restaurants.
